I am not under water. Much of the province is, but not quite the parts I am in.

I am not dead from work. I may even stop sweating cola flavoring sometime this week.

I have been commuting by bicycle instead of by bus. I am more acclimated to it now - Friday is still a bit rough though.

And I'm all out of verbiage. Whoops!

Yeah. Reassuring people is not one of my top skills. Sorry.

I didn't even think about how I was basically collapsing offline from Friday on, and that this might worry people with a rough grasp of my location, until I noticed that the flood had made international news. I should add that to my resolution list for January - 'Remember to talk to people. Even the ones on the internet. It's good for you.'

Water level here peaked yesterday a bit after lunch. Our river valley is much deeper, so it was much more contained. Damage to some of the lower paths and boat launches, but that looks to be about it.
